Project Overview
A private customer in Akaroa engaged our team to supply and install a new 10m Bermuda Emperor insulated swimming pool as part of a new-build home. The project presented several logistical and site-related challenges due to the location and terrain.
The Challenge
The property is positioned on a steep hillside section overlooking Akaroa Harbour, with limited access to the site. The narrow, winding roads required careful planning to safely transport the pool shell, with the HIAB truck navigating tight corners and exposed coastal conditions. Wind was an ongoing factor throughout the delivery and installation process.
Our Approach
Detailed pre-planning was essential to ensure a smooth installation. Our team coordinated delivery timing, transport access, and crane positioning to manage the difficult terrain and weather exposure. The pool was installed with precision to suit the hillside site while maintaining structural integrity and alignment with the surrounding build.
The Result
The finished pool is a standout feature of the property, seamlessly integrated into a timber deck and positioned to maximise the uninterrupted views across Akaroa Harbour.
Despite the challenging access and site conditions, the installation was completed successfully, delivering a stunning and functional swimming pool that enhances the home and its coastal setting.
